
I know it's a small niche but I'm surprised there's no thread here for AIF games. For those who don't know, I suppose I should bring you up to speed: For a long time now there's been adult text-adventures. I know most of you probably think they've died down since the early 90s but the fact is they're still around and a bit more modern. If you're not sure what I mean by text adventure, look up ' Zork' or ' Hugo', (basically ' Hugo' without graphics). You type stuff like, 'n' to go north, 'pick up bottle' to pick up a bottle and 'fuck ass' to fuck someone in the ass. As a result, a block of text will appear as a response and you as the player, type more stuff to do.
If you're a literate man and imaginative as well, you'll get into it pretty easily. There's a few websites out there for AIF, (google aifgames.com or the 'aif' yahoo group). The games will usually run on IF engines like ADRIFT, TADs, INFORM, RAGs or AGT if you're really, really going old school. If anyone knows any cool AIF games to play, please post them here. I myself would like to promote a game that I made which requires ADRIFT5 to run called, ' Another Friday Party 2'. It's a freely modifiable game which anyone can freely mess about with.
