General CommentI've been listening to Battle Studies a lot recently, obviously because it's an incredible record but also because every song on there seems to hit the spot right now. I broke up with my girlfriend 3 weeks ago, and recently she's come back and wanted to 'try again'. I remembering listening to this song when she left mine a few nights ago and realising that this wasn't what I wanted at all: 'You say you want to try again, But i've tried everything but giving in. These words hit me really hard: in the past, i'd have let someone back in my life, but this time round i've realised that I don't want to get back with someone who wants to 'break my heart again'. I guess generally this song is about moving on from someone who isn't good for you: as much as you want them back and they want the same thing, you take the upper hand and realise that all you'll be doing is 'saying goodbye' again.
