My laptop is just two months old and surprisingly i keep on getting the message when i turn my laptop on is that my display driver has stopped responding and has recovered successfully. Following the advice of someone from the other forum i got the technical support from dell people as my laptop is under warranty. The dell techies helped me in re-installing my whole system, but ironically only after 4 days of their support and re-installation i again got the same message that the display driver has stopped responding. I did the following things to solve the problem: Ran the diagnostics, but nothing was wrong. Then i tried updating the drivers but the drivers as per the information i got were updated.
Troubleshooting, here i got the fix named facap- FastAccessVideoCapture. I enabled it. I havn't got the display driver stopped responding message till today, however my system w'nt start smoothly in the first go. Either it hangs up for sometime or is slow.
Every time i have to restart the laptop. And also everytime i search for problems with my laptop by trouble shooting i get the information to enable facap, so every time i have to enable facap as well. The same trouble is coming with windows firewall, i have to turn it on each time i start my lappy. Can anyone help me out with these problems??? Thank you, Arushi. I did seek dell's support and only after 2-3 days it again started giving me the same problem. The drivers are up to date and my system has an Intel (R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD.
