• 542 Answers SOURCE: I own a variety of NiMH batteries and chargers (both the fast (ie. Getdataback Fat Full. Like the Epson '3 hour') charger and slow or 'trickle' overnight chargers for AA applications. As far as I can tell, all NiMH battaries, chargers and appliances (eg cameras) are interchangable. Just follow the Charger Manufacturer's instructions for how long to leave the batteries in the charger. The time required for full charging will be dependent on how much charge is left in the batteries, as well as on the rated capacity of the particular battery used (mAh or 'milli amp hours').

Usually for Nikon chargers, blinking means it's charging. Continuous means it's charged. Flashing rapidly means there's a fault. I don't know if it's the same for MH-30.Thanks. This is true for the newer charges that I have. However, the MH-30 always confused me.
When you hook up 1 battery, there is a slow blink while charging. When left for some time, it blinks fast which I always assumed that it means it's fully charged. When you hook up 2 batteries, one light blinks and the other is continuous.

And when left for a few hours, both blink fast. I haven't ever sat there to notice if the sequence changes when it is charging the other battery. Or does the charged one blink fast and the charging one blinks slowly. Things get even more interesting when you have 2 batteries and either press 'discharge' on one or both batteries. This is true for the newer charges that I have.
